I have heard several customers asking for this functionality and it is especially large customers.Gustaf Westerlundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02522937600083440624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28669706.post-79587541250361012792014-09-23T15:55:43.423+02:002014-09-23T15:55:43.423+02:00Definitely. There are a lot of actions and scenarios that can change permissions in CRM.

I am directly developer of this solution so feel free to ask more if you are interested. I'm trying to inform people about this product because so far I have not find any free or paid alternative that is covering this. And there ale a lot of discussion post regarding this issue and most of them are unanswered or simply not possible !Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11501198429624669983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28669706.post-44746715029610453192014-09-23T15:19:32.491+02:002014-09-23T15:19:32.491+02:00Interesting. It is very complex to replicate this to SharePoint, as not only the BU/Role structure has to be replicated but also the sharing, joinging/unjoining of teams etc. can have effects on effective permissions in SP.Gustaf Westerlundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02522937600083440624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28669706.post-24580465008193624112014-09-23T13:28:21.801+02:002014-09-23T13:28:21.801+02:00Hello Chris,

I have been looking into trying to create a more enhanced version myself as an ISV Product but it has been too long since I worked with SharePoint and I find that the SharePoint API:s are too limited, especially when working CRM Online - SharePoint Online. The only possible solution I can Think of is setting the document location manually or trying to make some program (like a plugin/JavaScript) that sets i automatically based on the logic that you would like. That would, however, probably require quite a lot of Work.Gustaf Westerlundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02522937600083440624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28669706.post-18969838288889804202013-09-25T09:42:55.574+02:002013-09-25T09:42:55.574+02:00then it is a known problem, and not an error in my...then it is a known problem, and not an error in my system.
you known if there is a solution?Alehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09711916033557762585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28669706.post-52382128561266816522013-09-25T09:23:17.994+02:002013-09-25T09:23:17.994+02:00@Ale, well the contract entity is a very strange e...@Ale, well the contract entity is a very strange entity to start off with and to be frank I don't know why it acts that way. I Think MSFT might have put in special logic for opp, quote, order and case as these are very common entities but contract on the other hand is not. It is not an easy do. While Sharepoint has been designed in a manner where even a non-technical person might be able to learn and make use of it, this integration might not be too easy for a lay person. But for those using either of these, this is a great way to enhance their internet document management systems and make better use of Dynamics CRM by integrating it with Sharepoint for document storage. Thanks for the info and a descriptive post on this subject.
